While any debate and election is loaded with ideological mantra -- the literal anti-thesis of independent thought and philosophy -- the truism of any politician arriving to D.C. is that one needs to work with others if anything is going to, as they say, get done. It sounds like Obama is keeping with the team of rivals theme.

are we already having a "unita, not a divida" moment?

Good question, Pepe. But a better one is who will go apeshit when Obama goes moderate and completes his cabinet with Rove and Cheney?

The wacky right like during Clinton or the wacky left like regarding Gitmo?

I thought the Cabinet is more-or-less complete, no? Maybe Blago is still waiting for a slot at HUD?

At any rate, I have to agree it's a somewhat more centrist Cabinet than I thought possible -- somewhere between Jimmah and McCain (eg, we got Hillary instead of Lieberman at State: traded one Dem for another, but roughly, same idea).

It must be as much a problem for you than it is for me. AA was squealing like a sow that communism was coming to america to steal his pile of manure by way of Obama and you were having similar hot flashes.

If this page succeeds at anything it is to hype up dangers that only exist in the mind of its contributors.
