Leaders from Hugo Chavez to Barack Obama...

Well, now that's the whole gamut, huh?

Fruity thinker has a sense-implosion.

While at it, here are the relevant paragraphs of the Honduran Constitution:

ARTICULO 42.- La calidad de ciudadano se pierde:

and

* Modificado por Decreto 299/1998.
* Modificado por Decreto 374/2002 y ratificado por Decreto 153/2003.

Now, I don't expect Pepe to grasp such subtle legal points (the pinko mind is not constituted to absorb information that may contradict in any shape or form the Party Line). But perhaps he can learn to read Spanish a bit?

With any luck, he and Zelaya will have diez (10) años to think it over.

My feeling is that the One will step in with Ruth Bader Ginsburg's help, and declare the Honduran Constitution unconstitutional.

Omigod! Quick, bring the smelling salts for Pepe. He's fainting.

No wonder Zelaya is trying to save them from obscurantism.

Perhaps Pepe will understand English a bit better: Title VII, with two chapters, outlines the process of amending the constitution and sets forth the principle of constitutional inviolability. The constitution may be amended by the National Congress after a two-thirds vote of all its members in two consecutive regular annual sessions. However, several constitutional provisions may not be amended. These consist of the amendment process itself, as well as provisions covering the form of government, national territory, and several articles covering the presidency, including term of office and prohibition from reelection.

In other words, this was a coup.
