What about castes? Not very lefty. How about moving toward capitalism? The Chinese are doing that too, but under a dictatorial communist system that certainly gets Obama's junk hard.
Geez, there are so many ways to explain Obama's attitude to India that I wonder at AA's sense in posting this drivel and Tecs assenting in his usual lockstep.
Here's another idea just to throw out there: India is evil because they speak English there and that reminds Obozo of the Brit that whipped his gramps.
Or this: India is a democracy and on the rise; it flat makes sense to be close allies with them and so of course Obama shits on them.

Rot's new pic is actually pretty good, but it needed some (proportional) shrinking. Only a techie like Tecs can do that.
