For once Rove sounds like he understands the gravity of the situation is far beyond the mere care and nurturing of Republican sensibilities and the posh factor in the DC digs.

Republicans should be willing to compromise on details. Ronald Reagan was right when he said, "I'd rather get 80% of what I want than to go over the cliff with my flag flying." But voters will not tolerate compromise on fundamental principles.

Yep. Of course, Rot will settle for 15%. But that's another story.

Can we settle on 15% of the tab? The tab.
