not to mention the gross disregard for the basics of culinary art. Anyone ever had a decent micro-waved meal ?

I have heard that asparagus and filets of Dover sole do well in the 'wave. Also, when you've got a roast chicken that's not quite done when you open it up, the 'wave is the only way to cook it through without drying the whole bird out.
Think again. Escoffier would have no quarrel with these folks.
