In America, the NYT awards plagiarists and forgers with book deals and journalist jobs. You know, to address what society did to drive these people to such extremes.
In eastern Asia, it's still rather shameful (putting it mildly, at least for Japan) to even think of such a thing.
How will Yale and the South Korean university resolve such complexities? How "understanding" will Yale be toward the plight of this woman, and the university as well?
