So? The pattern is well-worn by now. The planeteers attack. Mac the Knife takes it on the chin, and either shuts up, or whimpers. Pepe struts, or, if caught with pants down, offers a pro-forma apology.

Hmmm.... Maybe this kind of pas-de-deux works for the election, maybe not. But what does this say about Mac's fortitude to govern? What if he's challenged by some of the crazies out there -- same old, same old, or does he try a different tack?
