Krauthammer does not waste one word

Holy shit. The essay I have been waiting for.

All hangs in the balance. The Khamenei regime is deciding whether to do a Tiananmen. And what side is the Obama administration taking? None. Except for the desire that this "vigorous debate" (press secretary Robert Gibbs' disgraceful euphemism) over election "irregularities" not stand in the way of U.S.-Iranian engagement on nuclear weapons.

The full Pepe in thought and action.

More: This go-soft-with-killers approach is causing unusual verbal gymnastics by Obama acolytes in the left wing press (e.g. the Nation, the Guardian) who are desperate to find a way to spin the story so that Obama's reticence in challenging the crackdown and the election theft is in fact seen as a calculated and nuanced approach to the Iranian situation.

Why even bother? Simply take the Pepe approach: splendid silence, and stony indifference. That's the tried and true pinko way to handle such pesky annoyances.

Since the ayatollahs took over, there has been no content to Iranian government other than "Death to ... [wait for it]...America.

Who is it that puts ourselves in every country's discussion then, Pepe?

As far as I can tell, and as you pointed out, the only thing they want from you are flags to burn.

Krauthammer and you boys are doing nothing more than lament the fact that the boy scout isn't forcing the blind old lady to cross the street. But the old lady thinks this boy scout is a pervert and would rather cross on her own, thank you very much.

The boy-scout currently in the White House carries a switchblade and's got a hard-on.

Pepean "logic" is unfathomable, as always. No meaning, just dollops of bs, wrapped in stinky vichissoyse.

And as usual you are unable to address the argument:

who the fuck asked america anything in this conflict,
and are there reasons other than sheer hubris as to why you see yourselves as the self-appointed arbitrators of good and evil in the world ? There is no evidence that the Iranians are waiting for word from the USA. And besides, you have quite a bit of your own shit to clean up.

Mr roT said...

If the good guys fail and we didn't do anything to help, like wrecking the ayatollahs' command and control or helping the dissidents communicate with one another, then we'll have to deal with the Iranian theocracy for another decade and we will have not helped deserving people.

Read your fucking Sakharov.

If we help and they succeed, then they will feel indebted and will not be so antagonistic.

If we help and they fail, then they will still know we were on the right side of the fight.

We were on the wrong side right after Tiananmen, as you may recall.

That was shameful and sickening.

I don't know where you get this nihilist know-nothingism.I would guess it is very fashionable in the salons of philosophe Paris, where these is no longer any point to thinking about the rest of the world.

All Obama is doing is looking like a weak little cunt of a man, about like Carter.

And that benefits no one.

One last point, you should note that the House and Senate today passed resolutions in which much stronger language was voiced than the pussident's.

In the House, the vote was 405-1, the lone opposing vote coming from "Republican" Ron Paul.

So far as I know, the Senate vote was a voice vote and so the numbers aren't recorded, but it was similarly lopsided.

If even cunts like Kerry and Kennedy voted for this, then you just haven't yet understood your adopted country and are as martian as Ron Paul.

Other possibilities here that you can't address... It could well be that all this ferment in Iran is a direct result of the democratization next door in Iran and CIA meddling sub rosa in Iran proper. If so, then we owe these people our support and cannot let them be massacred like Bush Pop did the Kurds and marsh Arabs after GW I.

Another shameful bit of 'realism', that.

Mr roT said...

Even the BBC is doing more than Hopey.

Mr roT said...

Obama's Chicago analogy.

Tecumseh said...

Mr Rot, you pissin' up a rope with Pepe. Trying to make a logical argument with him, appealing to reason, or history, or morality, or whatnot, is just hopeless. The guy is from outer space.

Mr roT said...

What if he's right that les tetes de torchon don't want our interference.

I have trouble believing it. Why the hell do they wear les jeans avec le torchon?

Pepe le Pew said...

maybe they like the jeans.

Moussavi may have no interest in American support [although he certainly isn't going out of his way to make that clear], but those on the streets are crying out for support [just listen to them] from the outside world-- and that includes the USA.
Of course, from the East Asians and South Americans they get indifference. From the Euros they at least get some supportive rhetoric and the occasional chappie fessing up to now having doubts as to the Mullohcracy being "The Beautiful People". From Our Thug Obamakles they get a downright drooling: "Oooh, I can hardly wait to ...uh, Dialogue, ... with those Magnificent Men of Qom: they Rule!"
Followed by yet another variant on the "Samaritans are so stinking Bourgeois" riff. Which in his particular application to politics becomes: "If my neighbor is breaking the bones of his children and raping his daughters and is preparing to cut the throat of his neighbors which are not moi, or at least not moi today, why I celebrate the diversity of the many possible choices for domestic lifestyle."
Pepe stirs up just long enough from his Nawlins degaycadance to chunder out his ululations.

Mr roT said...

AA, I think that by now, Moussavi is not the point. At least I hope he's not the point.

Arelcao Akleos said...

That is true. Those getting clobbered on the streets are shouting "Death to the dictatorship". It's gone well beyond using Moussavi's campaign as "breathing room for reform".
Which is why the poor fuckers are so fucked. With a guy in the Whitehouse who is to IM what the leader of the German-American Bund was to the National Socialists, and whose principled belief in America standing for Democracy is on par with that of Scowcroft or Kissinger in Beijing, we will be the ones who sat by why others died for our principles.
I am sick with anger, and I am ashamed to be in a country who could have freely elected such a man.

Arelcao Akleos said...

"while", of course. Although why the died for our principles, as our leadership sat smugly by calculating the profits of future "dialoguing", is one of those questions that shame me.
