And the president is taking a hands-off attitude. Instead of standing, as Reagan did, in the Polish uprising of 1980, and say we stand with the people in the street who believe in democracy.

What do you expect? Polar opposites in all respects.

Who did people think Obamakles would be for, in a choice between an Islamofascist government and a group that, even in a farfetched sense, might want the democracy Chicago is all about destroying?

AA, this is getting worse and worse and better and better somehow.

Continuing our discussion earlier, I don't know if Ahmadinejad won fairly or not and don't care. Also, I don't think Moussavi would be any better for us.

What would be good for us is the fact that some sizable fraction of the Iranian populace is ready to burn tires in the street. This is not good for the mullahs, because usually the tires in the street crowd are screaming Death to America.

I know what they're thinking now when they're screaming death to the dictator and it's not just Ahmadinejad.

Sounds good till Obama says nothing. Reminds me of Poppy Bush sending Scowcroft to Beijing to drink VCP with the butchers, though I am sure you guys are tired of me repeating that...

One of Tecs' fruity thinktank claims to know what all this is about.

I bet he's full of (and covered with) shit.
