Honni soit qui mal y pense.

The expression has nothing to do with that, it can be construed in many different ways.

Speaking of mottos, I like Maryland's: Fatti maschii, parole femine. There must be a hidden meaning in this one, no?

Botswana has a very short and to the point motto.

So if DC becomes the Capital of the Caliphate, does that mean there are job openings for Dragoman?

Grand Dragomans rule! They even had them in Rotterland.

There might be a GUT here, Tecs. I mean Honni soit is clearly homo speak. First it's British and second, it means "not that there's anything wrong with that."

Botswana was a Brit colony and so its motto is perfectly sensible.

Fatti maschii, parole femine, well, 'nuff said. Sounds like AA's fruity heroes, but without the fatti maschii of course.
