Found this following as a comment to a news story:

"Cirilo Perera · Top Commenter
Take it from me, a refugee from one of the _opera buffa_ failed states of Latin America: this U. S. A., this beautiful, wonderful country--distinguished by its rule of law, responsible liberty, individual opportunity, and seriousness of purpose--that I have loved so much is rapidly becoming indistinguishable from the corrupt, politically immature, feckless banana republics to our south. I am saddened beyond my powers of expression."

As Mr. Perera says, this is an unfolding tragedy whose sadness is beyond the powers of expression.

This raises the question: does Mr Rot join in the melancholy, or does he ululate? The answer may be ambiguous.

I strongly suspect he would join in the melancholy, but would wish the cause of that melancholy could be recast in a fashion that sets him free from having to eat crow.

Amen to that.

Amerisoc is the wave of the future: a plurality of Americans ages 18 to 29 (49 percent to 43 percent) view socialism positively.
