Hitchens often causes the Right and Left a good deal of confusion, in America and abroad: he supports the War, causing the Left to lump him with the Right. Yet he understandably rants about Falwell and the Emotion-driven Religious Right, and is then ascribed with the title of "anti-American."
Whenever I disagree or agree with Hitch, he remains refreshing from the same Left and Right drums that get beat over and over: he slices a bit of the Left and Right off, tosses in a blender, and sets it on "high."
