I believe we're all in accord in our like for good, aged cheese (I just had a great 2 year aged chedder from Canada not long ago). This article seemed to pertain to AI's old stomping grounds.
As you're a better expert than any of us, any more insight on how the EU is shaping what goes on the dinner plates in Romania, AI?

Eurocrats suck. Yes, I heard of this -- they're distroying artisanal production, which of course is the best, and replacing it with mass-produced, plasticky junk. It's already happening, and once they're done with it, it's almost impossible to bring it back.
Reminds me of how beer-brewing was basically destroyed in the US at some point (for several decades), before it staged a revival of sorts through micro-brews. I don't know if something like that could be done for cheese (or tzuica in plastic bottles!) under the watchful eyes of the Brussels bureaucrats. Probably not.
Damn. That does suck. If we use your American beer model, it somewhat sounds like another old addage, where sometimes things have to get worse before they can get better.
