I'll be consistent, and defend this guy's right to say this. I heard him defend what he said, while being interviewed by Geraldo Rivera, and he stood his ground, with dignity. And he made the case that he's right -- and, if Obama wins and the Binnie boyz and gals don't ullulate, he'll eat crow and apologize in public. I think he makes a stronger case than the other guy, Cunningham, who's just a joker, and was just frothing at the mouth. This guy looks like a serious guy, making a serious point. As usual, McCain sided with the pinkos in his knee-jerk reaction. As usual, he'll be surprised when pre-emptive surrender won't buy him anything from the birkenstockers.
And, duh. He has the right to say it. You're the only one bringing the Magn Charta into everything like an old "Fire Up The Enola Gay" type. The question is whether it is wise to say such things. I think the guy saying it is helpful, but I also think it's beneath a pres candidate to speak in those terms. Therefore McCain ought to say nothing about this or say he is not sure what Obama has planned for the islamists because he seems not to have a plan (according to Hillary, at least). To say, Hey! King's right! would leave him open to a some HuffPo attacks from people that might already be leaning toward him.
McCain can say whatever he wants, and King, too. As far as I can see, the First Amendment (which is the law of the land) still holds (n case you don't like Magna Carta). Do you want to debate what the First says?
As usual, McCain sided with the pinkos in his knee-jerk reaction I don't know that the pinkos think of McCain as one of them, except perhaps on immigration and campaign finance. On everything else, he's pretty much a right-wing nutcase.
It should be. To you, that is. It seems that just because he hasn't been rubber-stamping every single idiotic bill coming out of this white house, the conservatives can't stand him. But on most issues, he's pretty much one of'em. What's the deal with his jaw, btw ? Is he chewing tobacco ?

Huh? McCain distanced himself from this nonfrother? Where's the link?

He had cancer. I think it's got to with that, but I'm not sure. Not very fetching, though.
