Pepe le Pew said...: Only in puritaniland is this anything more than a private issue. You will recall that I said the same thing regarding our own bible-thumping David Vitter who got caught a few months back in pretty much the same scandal.
With the difference of course that Vitter built his entire career peddling schmamily values to goody-two-shoes louisianans - which makes him a little bit of a hypocrite, of course.

The hypocrisy, however, is that he was understandably Righteous in his professional life. In his personal life, though, he tended towards Libertarianism.; 3/10/2008 9:46 PM

I guess, although he could have preached like he acted and ran on the Libertarian ticket — about as electable as someone running on a Green Party ticket. So he clearly wanted to get elected and opted for the Dem party.
