"This is a case where Hillary Rodham Clinton and John McCain should take the initiative and denounce the fear-mongering about Mr. Obama as hate speech. The wink-wink references to “Barack Hussein Obama” and lies about his going to a madrassa are the religious equivalent of racial slurs." Bah, humbug. I'm sorry, but this doesn't hold water with me. I was the first (and basically the only one -- correct me if I'm wrong) to denounce religious intolerance in this campaign on this board. That came in defense of Mitt Romney, the attacks on whose religious were infinitely more vicious than anything in those alleged winks-winks (mentioning someone middle name = hate speech? I mean, that has clear legal implication, should Cunningham be dragged to the star chamber for that, Mr. Torquemada?). Eg, where were the defenders of religious freedom when Farrakhan called Christianity a "gutter religion"? Or when Huck said Mormons think Jesus Christ is brother with the devil? That's what I'd really call hate speech in this context, if I were to use the word -- but I won't, since nowadays that word is extremely loaded in the American legal vocabulary.
Farrakhan didn't call Christianity a gutter religion. He called Judaism that. I think we all agree that he was well within his Constitutional right to free speech when he said, that, right AI?
Oops, mixed things up a bit -- but the sentiment is the same. Yep, free speech, man -- have you heard m e saying otherwise? But somehow, I cannot imagine Pepe complaining that that's out of decency bounds, whereas he and his ilk would jump like a ton of bricks on anyone not protected by the pinko law of omerta for saying anything >0.1% as offensive as that. Just goes to show...
The pinkos hang together and don't criticize their ilk unless they vie for office or something. They have an omerta pact if you wish -- see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil about fellow-travelers. Example: how they stood by the Clintons through their worst abuses in the 1990s. Or how they are extremely tame when it comes to Farrakhan's proclamations. Or, how most of them covered up for the Soviets throughout. I could go on forever, but maybe you get my drift?
how they stood by the Clintons through their worst abuses in the 1990s Oh yeah, I remember. He got a blow-job or something when he wasn't supposed to. That was really bad.
Or how they are extremely tame when it comes to Farrakhan's proclamations. Who gives a shit about farrakhan, ai ? he is about as irrelevant as Billy Graham.
most of them covered up for the Soviets throughout. Most or some of them ai. I submit that while there was some interest in Saviet ideology in the 50s, it started disappearing in the 60s (see Andre Gide, for instance) to completely vanish by the early 80s.
Bubba was not convicted in the House of Representatives for a blow job, as Pepe & JJ insist. He was convicted for perjury and obstruction of justice. Just look it up. And rightly so. You still covering up for him, are you?

And we can hate him for it too, right?
Pepe, hilarious.

JJ, tu quoque, tu schmoque. Your repartee is as always a non-sequitur, and has nothing to do with my point.

AI, this is horseshit. You blaming Pepe for Sartre?
Sartre as most of the left ?

Man if I had to tell the truth for every b low job I've received, my life would be very different today...
maybe better: As Christ said, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
