OK, OK, JJ, you got a point. E pur I think Ferarro is an idiot -- even if she has a bit of a point, she;s just too weak up there to know how to argue it like a seasoned pro. How's that for a compromise solution?

And, second, in the comment you dredged up and highlighted, I was talking about people who have nothing else to talk about -- tye Al Sharptons and Gloria Steinems of this world. Not VDH of Kaus, who may comment when needed, but not make that the ne plus ultra of their stunted lives.

Look, self-awareness is one of those things in life that shows we are mature. Ferraro's saying point-blank that she was a token and that a lot of Obama's appreal is tokenism is an obvious and painful naked emperor.
How's about you get your eyeglasses fixed and admit that you just wanted to take a dump on Ferraro because you hate Mondale?
I have friends that lived on Staten Island when she was the rep (for Queens?) and they ridiculed her for her posing as a simple housewife (when in fact she was a mafia wife with a billion dollars).
There was never assertion of her stupidity, and you have no business attacking her for not writing an essay like VDH when in fact she wasn't writing an essay at all but forming a very well-crafted, honest, and biting sound-bite.
