The air force has no business in this war. They and Bucky Rumsfeld tried hard to lose it for us. They suck.

The US simply can't win a war without the Air Force: it's almost axiomatic, JJ. The ones trying hard to lose this war are the ones advocating Marquess of Queensbury rules in the battle for Fallujah, and pooh-poohing the decisive role of air power in vanquishing the enemy.

As for the quality of the recruits in the various forces, read here: Under pressure to meet combat needs, the Army and Marine Corps brought in significantly more recruits with felony convictions last year than in 2006, including some with manslaughter and sex crime convictions. [...] There were no Air Force recruits with waivers for felony convictions in 2007.

some with sex crime convictions

Yeah, they've had no use for those ever since they closed Abu Ghraib

Aahhh, Abu Ghraib. That's all the pinko left really thinks about the Iraq war -- nothing else matters to them as much as those undies on some head-hacker's head. Idée fixe.

The air force always signs up the brightest and best and proceeds to make them worthless.

About like Harvard.

How about John McCain? Or naval aviators don't count in this sweeping generalization, JJ?
