Clift: Kemp = McCain ergo the GOP needs more Kemp
Have I got the gist of this? Meanwhile, Bob Herbert manages to write a wrongheaded dyslogy of Kemp. If only he'd've stuck to de mortuis nil nisi bonum dicendum est he might've come off like a pro. The NYT's fruity Kristol replacement calls for more moderates, but not the bad kind, like the ones we have. Oh.

he was one of President Reagan's principle [sic] foot soldiers: I stopped reading right there and then. Pinkos are so stooopid, they can't even spell. Or know the difference between principle and principal. Pathetic.
Or he meant that he was one of Reagan's principle's foot-soldiers...
It's amazing how many supposedly educated people mix the two words. Eg, I've see in print principle bundle! I mean, c'mon. How dumb can you be to say that? Of course, there is also economic principals, which I'm not sure whether it's a joke or sheer stupidity. And there there is Heisenberg principal, principle congruence subgroup, etc, etc. The list is unbounded.
Gag me with a spoon: I will describe a principle bundle by a groupoid, a gerbe on a principle bundle by a twisting of the groupoid multiplication, and a group action on such a gerbe (which is compatible with the principle bundle action) by a 2-cocycle in equivariant groupoid cohomology.
This description of an "equivariant gerbe" on a principle bundle allows for two constructions.
The first is a Fourier type isomorphism from the groupoid algebra of the equivariant gerbe to another interesting groupoid algebra. Here the principle bundle should be a bundle of abelian groups.
Jim Stasheff doesn't even know to capitalize his names.
It's an e. e. cummings thing. Pepe does it all the time -- but of course, he thinks it's correct.
