Hoity-toity Kraut is not impressed with Rottergirl's schooling

REGURGE: so what's Kraut up to?

On the regurge, I don't much care for psychobabble, even when it's some guy explaining Obama's hatred for the US coming from grandpa getting smacked by Brit soldiers, or whatever.

But Kraut is simply right about this point:

The problem with her, I think, is that she is not schooled. I don't mean she didn't go to the right schools. I mean when you get into policy, beyond instincts -- I like her political instincts, I like her political overall view of the world -- but when it comes to policy, she had two-and-a-half years to school herself and she hasn't and that's a problem. ... It's not only the lack of schooling; it's the lack of effort to school herself and the lack of insight to see that she needs it.

Palin should fix this or not run. But she's not running. She's doing what Coulter predicted she'd do, and that's better than what a lot of guys running are doing (e.g. Romney, Gingrich, and possibly Trump).

Trump is a joke, and Gingrich has disqualified himself, right out off the gate. The jury is still out with Palin, but her window of opportunity is fast closing down.

Here, she recalls the Tecsian experience at Ellis Island, while bitch-slapping the Rotter way. Hmmm... FCP is conflicted.

Confusionary Tecsian logic:

I think A therefore A.

Palin's window is wide open, but not for this upcoming election. She's in Goldwater mode, raising a generation of right-minded GOPers. And like Goldwater, she might in the future run. Unlike Goldwater, she doesn't have pithy and wrongheaded adages that get repeated in right-wing-nut trances as disturbingly as the Obama kids' song.

I think A therefore A. Hmmm... How does jibe in any way with what I said? Impenetrable (like the Amazon rainforest) is Rotter Logick...

Kraut is as spot on about Palin as he was about Reagan. Kraut was as spot on about Reagan as Herr Rott was about Reagan. Ergo is as spot on about Palin as Herr Rott was about Reagan.
Something is Rotten in the State of Kraut's Hammer.

Tecs, I was going after your incorrect, "with Palin, but her window of opportunity is fast closing down."

For you and the Kostards, Palin's 15 minutes are somehow always at an end, apparently because "las estirpes condenadas a cien años de soledad no tienen una segunda oportunidad sobre la tierra."

But in fact, she is young and energetic, and above all, she is right on essentially all the issues, though you dismiss this as simply getting tautologies right.

Let's see if Romney or Pawlenty gets as many of these tautologies right.

I agree though, in spite of AA's constant blathering, uncritical cheerleading, that she could look less amateurish about the details in foreign policy. Kraut mentions history. Yeah, it would be nice to have a president that knows some and has thought about it.

Tecumseh said...

Speaking of history, I only learned recently (was it these articles, or some just preceding them?) that Kraut was shilling for Walter Mondale back in 1984, and yapping about how bad Reagan was at the time.

And, as AA usefully reminds us all, so was Mr Rot doing at the time. Ah, youth. What does it know? But why spend the rest of one's life refighting the youth's fights?

It's a fair question to ask whether Palin reminds Kraut of Reagan, so that's why, Pavlov-like, he starts yapping at her. On the other hand, evidently Palin does not remind Mr Rot of Ronnie, so perhaps that's why he likes her?

I know, I know, the logic is strained, and the diagram doesn't commute. But hey, one can freely speculate--it's a free country, non?

By '84, Reagan was a mess. Of course Mondale would have been worse.

Tecumseh said...

Wrong. By 1984, Reagan had hit the top of his form, the economy was booming, and the Soviets were blinking. And he ran a masterful campaign, creaming Mondale.

Nyah, nyah, nyah. Seethe, Rot, seethe.

Mondale was DOA.
