Ultimate RINO turncoat remembers the good ole days

[Chafee] and McCain were the only two Republican senators who voted against the Bush tax cuts in 2001 and that the Arizona senator “was good on climate change, he was good on drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. And I heard George Pataki, who was a three-term governor of New York, and was good on immigration... Of course, "good" in this context means "Rotter-like".

So... basically he's saying Romney, to the extent he sounds right wing,is putting on a false front.
You betcha.

Or maybe he's saying he's changed his stripes? Now, I still think Romney never veered so much into Pinkoland as Mac did in his "Mr Maverick" heyday (or Giuliani for that matter). And I still think he maneuvered back to the GOP mainstream more so than Mac did in 2008.

OK, OK, that's not saying much, but it bugs me when Rot pretends he's Mr Pure Conservative, after pulling for Mac and Giuliani so hard, and now for Perry, who'd be creamed in the general election, weak as he is.

...creamed in the general election, [conservative] as he is.

FIFY.

That's not the reason he'd be creamed. Reason is that he's bumbling. Face it.

Bumbling is better than dishonest and wrong.

I wouldn't say Perry is a paragon of honesty, either (he's having quite a bit of that crony capitalism stuff going on). As for not being wrong--well, that's your opinion. I think he's wrong on a number of issues. So you see, that's very much debatable. But the fact that's he's bumbling is not.
