A study published last year in the New England Journal of Medicine noted that the Bay State’s 2006 health reform package had been associated with rapid new hiring in the Massachusetts health system.
That might sound like good news. But it wasn’t doctors or nurses getting hired. Rather, it was scores of administrative workers, who were needed to process all the new paperwork mandated by the reform effort.
The latest round of reforms will only exacerbate this trend.
Tecs, weren't we at war with the New England Journal of Medicine a while back over some dumb shit they printed? I think that they estimated that a billion or so non-combatants got killed in Iraq by the Louisiana National Guard.

Great. Just great.
Tecs, you're being too negative. I remember your being pretty damned glücklich when your rich golfing buddies became deans.

That was the Lancet, not the NEJM. Minsk, Pinsk to Mr Rot.
And, by the way, I never played golf in my life. Too expensive a passe temps for my proletarian tastes.
