yeah, just in case you thought it actually had to do with the complete absence of leadership on the part of city hall.

I don't understand your comment. My understanding was that city hall showed itself about what you would expect from New Orleans' city hall and the governor's office did too. Now, Ragin' Nagin is talking about the global right-wing conspiracy to purge the blacks from New Orleans and you're saying what?

i'm saying he is deflecting the responsibility for the state that the city is in by scapegoating some racist conspiracy holding everything back.

but maybe there is one. maybe not really racist, but one wanting less Democrat handouts and projects...?

A while ago this same fellah was quoted as saying New Orleans didn't pray enough, and thus felt the wrath of God through Katrina. And also something about returning the neighborhoods to chocolate, or some metaphoric gibberish.

Quite the spectacle you fellahs have goin' down there, Pepe. It's all very amusing. ...I've started using my freezer as a safety deposit box, too. That's where I stash all my cash.

I don't understand what Nagin is about. He seems to combine chunks of Al Sharpton with bits of Jesse Jackson and a dose of Bill Cosby.... Pepe, as you are the one who has to contend with what he does, can you give a brief description which pins down his persona and his politics?
