On my copy of the web page, it says New York. Has Manhattan seceded and migrated to the suburbs of Paris lately ? You wish.

Pepe the Nationalist provides us with voice...

Pepe, don't you find the "My Country/City is Better Than Yours!" a little juvenile?

The last time I was in New York and Manhattan, just after Sept. 11, I remember it being more dynamic (one ethnic neighborhood after another) than what I experienced in beautiful Istanbul or the wild Central Asia silk-road city of Tashkent.

I've yet to experience Paris. In reference to your nationalistic remark (which happens with frequency on FCP), I do understand what it's like to feel a little lonesome for what you were brought up with. You make it back to France often?

Wherever there are Blue Bloods supping on Blue Plates on Planet Pepe, there is Versailles. It is not just an oddjob jumble of overwrought Royal courtyards, it is a Vision

In the first post, you told AA that he wished New York or Manhattan had migrated to the suburbs of Paris.

Pepe's direct excerpt to AA:
"...Has Manhattan seceded and migrated to the suburbs of Paris lately? You wish."

You're suggesting that New York or Manhattan would be oh-so grateful to be a part of frogville. While your French nationalism is understood (which apparently you're unaware of) I called you out on it, merely reminding of the strengths and weaknesses inherent in any metropolis.

Then again, this might be another bit of your subconscious Ameriphobia at work too.
