Well, Chelsea is led by Mourinho, an ex-Porto manager. So for the land of pork and cheese it was a win win situation

Mostly I follow favorite players around. I like watching Totti, though he is one of the most maddening geniuses around. I have detested Juventus for to long to give them a chance, though I used to love Inzaghi on attack. I had been following him since he helped Lazio win the title, so it's satisfying to see him scoring goals against Bayern and Liverpool, ManU,... in Champions'. I think he's a beautiful player, though, like Italiani D O C, he's infuriating sometimes. Since he has moved to Milan, I have watched them most. When Shevchenko was there, the attack was truly beautiful. I also like Kaka', Pirlo and Gattuso from their ranks. Maldini is so old, is he pIaying still? Also, do they know what they're doing buying Ronaldo? I hate that SOB. I am not a large fan of Dida's though of course he is a great keeper. I like Toldo (sadly at Inter) and the magnificent Gianluigi Buffon (more sadly at Juve).
Milan also has a refreshing feel of being more apolitical than most Italian clubs. Yes, I know that Berlusconi has owned them for a couple decades, but I find that there are a lot of lefty fans too. This is not like Inter or, say, Barca, which are as politically aligned as any Serbian football club.
Maybe this has been too long a post, but bottom line is that among the Italians, ACMilan is pretty much to my liking.

Not quite FC Porto...but if one must choose an Italian team, AC Milan beats most alternatives hand down.

On a more local front, I'm looking forward to Beckham and his Landon Boyz getting run ragged all over Foxboro.

I absolutely detest Beckham. I don't know what you're talking about inre Foxboro, though. Real Madrid playing the Revs or is it the fake galacticos of LA notoriety?

I don't think Real Madrid are eager to go to the USA this year....Capello left kinda angry after DC United embarassed them up in Seattle.
Yeah, Los Galalacticos Oeste is what I'd in mind.
