Remembering Revel
Time is one ironic bitch. How Democracies Perish comes across both dated and yet a most prescient blast from the past. The reviewer, however, enters into inadvertent comedy in the first paragraph.

Revel was a great political writer -- reading his columns in the old days (way before Buckley & al) was definitely one of my formative experiences. They broke the mold after him, though.
