Where football and basketball have altered some of their rules over time to increase the intensity of their games, the distance from home plate to first base will always be ninety feet and a foul ball will always be a foul ball. Well, how about the designated hitter?

Been around a hundred years.

The real problem about judging that they bring up isn't the balk, it's called balls and strikes.

2010-1973=100? Only in Rotter arithmetic.

1906 = 1973? Only in Tecsian think.

The designated hitter idea was first floated by Philadelphia Athletics manager Connie Mack in 1906. The rumors were that he grew weary of watching Eddie Plank and Charles Bender flail away at pitches and call it batting. Mack's innovative proposal received little support and was even lambasted by the press as "wrong theoretically."

It is still wrong. But it was not officially implemented till 1973. And 1906<1973<2010. Everywhere but in Rotter logik, where A=B, for all A and B.

Why don't you go back to Russia where's no DH?

Well, of course, baseball is just an adaptation of oină, which was invented in 1364. That's way before Coandă invented the jet engine. And they surely didn't have the DH rule in 1364.

They don't mention the use of the DH. They mention sheep more.

Is that a FCP GUT?

Tecumseh said...

How about Alina Puşcău? Doesn't look sheepish to me.
