Eg, you've been pullin' hard for eons for McCain, though he's clearly a squishy RINO (almost ran as Kerry's VP, for crying out loud!), and, last but not least, he's from AZ--a state that's way to his right, as you keep complaining ad nauseam in other threads.

On the other hand, Scottie is from MA, and, as you know from your Cambridge day, that's the bluest of the blue, so Scottie is just about as good as it gets under the circumstances.
