You would think the Swedes would have had the basics of surgery planning figured out by now, no? I wonder, is this a 1-in-a-million occurrence, or does this shit happen more often than we think it does?

I still think it's unusual. The debate is over what's the probability the doctors and the anesthesiologist will go out to lunch while you're groggy and opened up on the operating table: something like 0.01%, 0.1%, 1%, or 10%?
