Since 2001 Nami had been issuing special electronic money which he referred to as "Enten", a combination of the Japanese currency name, yen, and the Japanese word for "Paradise" to investors who paid at least ¥100,000 (£770). Enten is a virtual currency which Nami claims will become legal tender in a post-recession existence by which time he will have become "world famous". Investors were promised 36% annual returns. "Enten" were generated through his customers' mobile phones. In February 2007, dividends were distributed in Enten, rather than in cash. Buy, Mr Rot, buy!!

You got a point, Rot. Admitting to greed and stupidity is a rarity nowadays. Kudos then to that little old Japanese lady who lost her life savings to the local Madoff.
