Tecumseh said...: Funny article -- in a gallows humor sort of way. (We used to have both a Trabi, and then a variant of the Dacia. Joys of socialist car-making to the max.) But the conclusion is way too optimistic:
The United States is far more powerful than Great Britain was then, and no American Attlee should be capable of destroying its solid economic and political base.
