What would the Obamakleans do if their "best and brightest" couldn't relying on being measured zeros? ....... actully learn from their experience, or others experience, or, Allah forfeit, the record of experience known as History??.... Nah, that wouldn't be stepping dangerously close to stinking peasant territory.
Hey, AA: I managed to plug the hole, at least provisionally. This was pretty hard, back-breaking labor. Now I need to figure out a stable solution. How about gutting the whole bathroom, and starting from scratch? That's one guy says I should do. Of course, this will set me back 10 grand or so--all because an idiotic tile came loose, and I started prying!
Life is a biatch. I need a beer. Let's try again in a couple of weeks, yes?
Is this one of your patented black humor gigs, AA? I dunno, I'm pining oftentimes after the care-free days when I was renting. Of course, I wan bitching and moaning at the time about all that money down the drain, with no tax deductions or something. But now I know better. especially when something breaks, and I need to deal with it. Woe is me!
Yeah, it was a stab at black humor. Maintaining one of these "house" things, if made as these are made, and as old as these are, is a pain in the Pepe. Whatever happened to that bright future of clean, metal and plastic, Fuller geodesic domes? Easy to build, easy to maintain, cheap... I believe I've heard you kvetch, Tecumseh, but I guess if I really had it wouldn't be a matter of belief.
