Very little from the West, or [rather] outside the Ummah, is translated into Arabic. This particular text, by this young Adolf character, must be really important to 'em to warrant such persistent translating and amending.

In his introduction to the 1963 translation, translator al-Haj addresses this feeling by describing Hitler with the word jihad - a word used to describe the Arab fight against Israel. "What springs to mind is Hitler's jihad as a soldier and his summons to action to achieve the aims of his party and his community."

Springtime for Hitler springs to mind.
