Time to get out of Canuckia. Looks like Planet Pepe keeps expanding at a rapid pace there. You may leave the hijab behind, no need for it in NE (yet).

Happy Christmas to FCP'ers, too, this one coming straight out of Sin City, Nevada!

They are extreme (in the non-militant sense, though) in all realms down here: everything is done BIG, whether it's Evangelicalism or Gambling. A sort of duality, if you will, where one fuels the other.

AI, have you read Ayaan Hirsi Ali's, "Infidel"? I'm about 1/3 way into it, and it comes highly recommended.

Ayaan was a friend and colleague of Theo van Goegh, and she's originally from Somalia. She lived in Saudi Arabia for a while, then in Ethiopia, and in the book she's now in Kenya. Today, of course, she's an Infidel, and therefore protected by armed guards as the Islam Militant guns for her. She details the female circumcision she underwent, along with her sisters, when she was five or six, and the regular beatings her grandmother gave her to remember how to protect her Virtue and Virginity as a woman in the name of Islam.
