Pepe, this guy is a crank. First he supported Jack Kemp (an idiot) and then had post-right-wing-stress disorder?

Sounds like he had post-penis-in-his-anus disorder and he's dreaming of some past importance in ideas and action.

If you are going to post something this stupid, please make it clear you think it's a joke. I have that irony thing, but sometimes I doubt others.

JJ: Kemp was quite good circa 1980 -- it was he who sold Ronnie on supply-side economics in the late 1970s. But yes, by the time he ran with Bob Dole in 1996, he was a spent force. Ring-wing-nut? Oh, c'mon, the guy (ex-quarterback for the Buffalo Bills) is about as stable as it gets.

Now, this guy Schaeffer is really off his meds. He starts plausibly: yes, many Republicans were suspicious of McCain in 2000, not just because of all his "maverick" stances, but also because he seemed to have a loose wire somewhere (and a hot temper to match). But after this, he (Schaeffer) goes on and on off the deep end, playing to all the BDS porno fantasies of the moonbats. A sad spectacle.

I think the sad spectacle is about just for the followers of Kemp. He was no damned theoretician. That was David Stockman and he got das boot.
He would really have shrunk government instead of growing it at unprecedented rates like the gipper did.

Kemp got into the game before Stockman: it was he who brought Arthur Laffer to sit at the table with Reagan, sometimes around 1978 I think. Laffer proceeded to draw a curve on a napkin, showing how tax revenue attains a max somewhere between 0% and 100% taxation rate (the goal to which Pepe aspires!), and then proceeds to drop. Reagan was impressed, and the rest is history. David Stockman came in later as Budget Director -- after Reagan nailed Carter in the elections. JJ, JJ, review your history!

The term for this is "coming to your senses".
Reminds me I had a "Bob Dole for refrigerator magnet" refrigerator magnet back in the Kemp days.

Honey, the only reason I'm here is for the non-existent taxes.

then don't whine about there being healthcare only for Bill Gates, honey. (or whatever)

Honey, the only reason I'm here is for the non-existent taxes. Well, not really non-existent, but still, reasonable when compared to the confiscatory tax rates so preferred by pinkos. 92% I think they had them at some point in Sweden (if you made something like >$100K/year)? Pinko heaven.
