Where is the "IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT!!!!" label? Pepe, it's enough to say that, and we can fill in the rest of your "argument". No need to waste electrons.
That's as close to conceding as I've heard on this board.
Why are there no Bush tax cuts on Obama's column?
Also, where's the tab for Obamacare? Are the pinkos already resigned to its repeal?
If so, then good.
Let's also tally up the economic weight of all of Obama's new regulations on business and industry and see how we do.
Simple as this: Cohn lies.
Oh, duhh. The guy is just a pinko propagandist. Standard Jounolist-type dezinformatsia.
That doesn't invalidate everything he says, but what he says here is BS.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day, sure. But, by general principles, I tune out anything written by members of the now-defunct Journolist cabal. Those guys thoroughly discredited themselves back in 2009-2010.
I check Ezra Klein all the time to make sure he can't make one sensible sentence.
I haven't yet been disproven.
Well, his father is into Schrödinger operators, so what do you expect? Shakespeare?
Double recessive.
Who's his pop?
The tab for 'Obamacare' is in there. Throw in there the Bush tax cuts and you're still off the mark, but that wouldn't make any sense if the point of the graph is to
compare policies.
Compare also the figures of the two stimuli (the one that horrifies you with the one that you only find marginally objectionable).
The tab for Obamacare is $152M which is the leading tail of an exponential.
You know that, I know that, and Cohn knows that. It won't bend the cost curve down, and everyone knows that too.
The stimuli are a crock of shit, agreed. But let's be clear, Obama's was all aimed at his Dem and union clients.
That's why it didn't stimulate much of anything.
When you buy a GM car (or better, a Chevy Volt!) give is a call.
Just one of the little hidden costs of socialized medicine. Multiply this by a factor of x to arrive at the true cost.
But why would you guys care? You're outta here, safely ensconced in the Euro Nanny State system. What could go wrong?
$50 billion's not so much unless you consider that all the health care will go down in quality to about that of the UK.
