Fish in a barrel

Freddy Krueger takes over from Austin Ghoulsby. Guy's got an office across from Krugman and was the idea man behind Cash for Clunkers.
Was there any doubt whether Obama could pick someone with reason?

The brains behind "Cash for Clunkers", eh? The economy will be firing up on all four cylinders in no time now. It's like money in the bank.

He was probably one of those deep thinkers rooting for Irene (or aliens) to make everything better.

From wiki: Krueger developed and applied the method of natural experiments to study the effect of education on earnings, the minimum wage on employment, and other issues. Krueger compared restaurant jobs in New Jersey, which raised its minimum wage, to restaurant jobs in Pennsylvania, which did not, and found that restaurant employment in New Jersey increased, while it decreased in Pennsylvania.

This is back-breaking, neuron-straining research, Herr Rott. Much more challenging than playing with \lesssims or \CDs.
