He still has his strongest option, and the one his gang seems to most care about, the "Bring America into the Dust" option.

As for his reelection campaign, Obama's tactic will be to try to egg on a civil war between the Republicans...he will play munificent "good cop" with the Boehners and McConnells and McCains and Mccormicks, the whole sorry corrupt Versaillean wannabe bunch, and ferocious "bad cop" with the "Terrorists' aligned with the Tea Party movement. The aim will be to conjure up a direct split with some third party run that will do for him what it did for Deval Patrick here in Mass last year.
But even if no significant third party run emerges then at least the consequent lack of enthusiasm for the McCain clone the establishment will try to push down our throats [say, Romney or Huntsman] or open disdain by that establishment for the "too much like Reagan 1980" guy or gal who overcame the establishment, will powerfully undermine the opposition.
...In the meantime, of course, those new trillions available for Obama's spending, thanks to Boehner & the other Rotts, will buy all the engineering of results a Chicago Machine can imagine [and, in this respect, there is no yet discernable bound to the imagination of that Machine].

...Modern Times are so Grand.

Speaking of which, here's the latest episode of Escape from New York: You can't suck every penny out of people and expect them to remain in New York.

Duh. And not just NY.
