Vision of Things That Are

.... The trouble with folks like Hanson and Steyn is that they keep insisting on looking reality in the face, and unblinking and without any gaudy veil of delusion.
It really harshes my bliss to see that they see what I see when I would rather they did not see what I see so that I could tell myself that what I see ain't really so...

Maybe it's time to limit my reading to American Pravda.

Terrible story, the more so in its "banality" -- as in Hannah Arendt's formulation, in another context.

Of course, Mr Rot's eyes will glaze over the whole thing, and he will only say, as is his wont, "deport". Or maybe, "Jesus was a Stalinist". Whatever.

But that was precisely Hannah's point, no?

Reading is essential, Herr Rott. VDH's lament was prompted by the MSM/police reporting of the crime, which essentially blamed the woman whose neck was sliced for "being at the wrong time in the wrong place", and slouched over the guilt of the head-hacker (a "youth walking around" or something), which of course you also perpetuate ("headhacker=punk"? only in Rotter logick).

VDH's view is as selective and predictable as the MSM's.

What view? Last thing you had was that you thought the article was some sort of illegal immigrant thing. So, what view are you the heck talking about here?
It's fine not to read, Herr Rott, just fess up to it, return to the beerhalls, stuff a sausage into the gullet, and set aside your Kampf.

Looks like Alec Baldwin is right, for once.
