Is your point that this cannot occur outside of a socialized medicine environmenent ai? (This is pepe on bberry)

No, my point is that it occurs with disturbing frequency in the supposed Nanny State Socialized Medicine Paradise. Much more so that in Kapitalist Amerikkka.

are you prepared to back this statement with data, or is this just a feeling you've got?

Data? We drown in them. Take just the tens of thousands of deaths in France due to heat (they haven't figured out AC yet!), or those dozens or hundreds of people given the wrong dosage in radiation therapy (again in France) and now dying a slow death, etc, etc. Not to mention the huge waits for surgery in Canada, UK, and other heavens of socialized medicine. You want numbers? Sure, just click on things, and you'll find them. But no amount of numbers will penetrate the pinko-colored glasses you wear, so why bother? Don't worry, be happy.

This is rather one-sided: you aren't mentioning anything about the fate of the millions of uninsured in the US. And besides, I am unsure what the heat situation had to do with the healthcare system: these are people who never made it to the emergency room. But what I can assure you of is that, had they showed up, no one would have checked on whether or not they had a healthcare plan.
