I have to admire Le Pew. He can't read, he can't write, he can't even get his two little neurons to fire one bit, never mind a byte. Yet he does so try.

By definition, a pinko will never, ever see anything wrong with associating with commies. That's why pinkos are called "fellow travellers" and "useful idiots". Pepe is the dictionary definition of the terms.

At least Dowd is funnier in Latin than Pepe in English: Cum Quirites Americani ad rallias Republicanas audiunt nomen Baraci Husseini Obamae, clamant “Mortem!” “Amator terroris!” “Socialiste!” “Bomba Obamam!” “Obama est Arabus!” “Caput excidi!”

He's a walking, breathing, Websterthaurus. A living definitional relic of the Age of the Red Dinosaurs. Unhappily, he brings a Lost World with him.

Hmmm, is that "Socialiste" really the way Cicero would have put it? At least Ms. Dowd takes a womanly stab at it.

Her mock-Latin is atrocious, but kind of funny: Vix quisque audivit nomen “Palinae” ante lunibus paucis. Surgivit ex suo tanning bed ad silvas in Terram Eskimorum, rogans quis sit traitorosus, ominosus, scurrilosus, periculosus amator LXs terroris criminalisque Chicagoani? Tu betchus!

It is Latin for us all.

Says the confessed neocon as his failed ideology exists the stage for good? Fantastic.

...and notice how all these seemingly small details are in fact highly patterny.

will barack deliver america bound & gagged to chavez come november? will the hammer and the sickle replace ol'bory ? will red boots walk down along the lovely oak-lined sidewalks of main street trampling our way of life, stealing the satellite dish and cooking the golden retriever?

Not to worry: he will do better than dubbyah.

"Says the confessed neocon as his failed ideology exists the stage for good? Fantastic."

Being for individual freedom on this earth, for the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness, is always, in the longer run, a "failed ideology". To survive it asks much more of men and women than their basest impulses. Planet Pepe makes no such requirements. This "failed ideology" is also the common enemy to all other ideologies, which are wedded to a variety of Collective Power and the reduction of human life to group membership [be it l'Etat, the Proletariat, the Ummah, the Race, or a good ol' fashioned catch all like Obamacles Imperator ]
But in those brief moments of history where, for a time, in scattered places, the "failed ideology" made itself felt, the human condition accelerated towards the better at rates which mocked all the stagnating millenia where ruled enchainers of mind and their politics of Statism.
Pepe can dance for all his joy in destruction, and watch Ricainia Burn to ashes, but in these few centuries this nation, and its "failed ideology", will have added more substantive good to this world, and to the possibility of a richer humanity, in the fullest sense, than all the Pepean Planets that have blooded and enslaved since the beginning of man.
Obama is just another thug. He can create, and will create, nothing that makes life better. He will, in fact, seek to destroy. And you will be there on the sidelines, clutching your Goggle, lost in Onanistic rapture, crying "Fantastic!"

Of course you meant "exits the stage..", not "exists the stage.."

For the purpose of judging ideology, the end is really meaningless for even the worst abusers of human rights have a noble justification for their deeds. The only relevant criterion is the means. And the means deployed by the neocons to reach their utopian nirvana has been a colossal waste of human resources, treasure, and goodwill that americans once deserved.

Add to the mix the notion that the vision for the spread of democracy really came about as a convenient stint half-baked by Bush's PR team to offset the consequences of the WMD fiasco, and there you have the failed ideology of the last 8 years: ends driven by the marketing team combined with ineptitude of means, everything resulting in an exit best characterized by the opprobrium it brought on the entire nation.

So yeah, ideology doesn't fail more totally, more fundamentally than the Bush WH's

Hmmm, first, there was no significant reservoir of goodwill for the US in most places.
There was either ululation [Islamic nations, the embittered Socialist nations, the various Latin nations who were thrilled by the Gringo getting clobbered], or an immediate interest in making sure that the Yanks buried their dead, paid proper dhimmi service to the new powers of this earth, and were satisfied by an occasional clap on the shoulder from those earlier dhimmified as to "hey, old chap, sucking dick is not so bad once your knees get used to the chaffing".
Second, the promotion of democracy, and its defense, has been a constantly recurring theme in America since the early 20th Century. The importance of this theme has waxed and waned, and has tended to wane when all were flush with good times, and to wax when a powerful threat to democracy revealed itself. This was apparent in the Bush administration immediately after 9/11, but stayed strong through only through the first couple of years of the aftermath. It is one of the grave idiocies of the Bush clan that they never had sufficient respect of the ideological component of foreign relations [Bush I- his blindness to the need to eliminate Saddam when he was so clearly eliminatable. Bush II starting from early 2004 and on]. There was nothing "of convenience" about it. In fact, it's recent abandonment by the Republicans was precisely "for convenience".
Third, your quarrel is not with Bush tactics, but with this country being healthy and willing to be a powerful player for Democracy. You are not against a weak, broken, group of Ricains, being herded by your Soristic Obamacles into a future where radiance is only rhetoric and destruction of our democracy and individual freedoms is all too real. You are against precisely a democracy which believes in, and fights for, "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness".
Now, again, when did you come to this country, and why did you come?
