I really hated these kind of toilets when I was a kid. I don't want get into gory details, but trust me, it's not a pleasant experience. Any one of you guys tried it?
Yeah, it was the standard toilet in use in eastern Asia back in the late 80s, excepting a few "western" hotels. Later, by the late 90s, the nice and civilized sit down toilet was more widespread, particularly in the cities, but the rural areas are all squat all the time. Mainland China is a squatters' paradise, outside of a few big cities. Those toilets, and dysentery, both endemic to that part of the world, make a perfect storm.

How about Turkish toilets? Do they pass muster on Planet Pepe?
