I read this before, somewhere else. Funny how even people who stand to profit somewhat from his boondoglish power grab have qualms about it.

He is wrong about it not being possible to "prove a counterfactual". You can at least compare the mortality rates/lifespans of Americans in the first decade of the 21st century to what we will have in the 3 decade of the 21st century.
My bet? Socialism will do to the wellbeing of the people what it has done bloody elsewhere for a century.

Not that those who passed this bill will ever suffer personally for it.
