Civilization in Canuckia
Have discovered a rather good, economical, Portuguese restaurant here in the golden glowing mosque wilderness. Should ya be ever passing through Vancouver, in the next few years, give me a heads up and we can do some freecounterpointing over some evanescent seafood and enduring wine.

AA, if you're ever in my neck of the woods, gimme a heads up and we'll hit up a Lutheran lutefisk feed too.
Kidding aside, my mouth waters at the thought of Portuguese cuisine, either the peasant or royal variety. I can only say: you lucky bastard.
I think Pepe would offer that all Portuguese grub is Peasang grub. He may be right, he may be wrong, but whatever the gloss on the nail it is delicious grub.....wine's not bad, either.
As for Lutefisk,.....only 50 years to go.
And if you ask what is "Peasang grub", it is, to all Versaillists, that culinary rung below Yankee.
I think Pepe would offer that all Portuguese grub is Peasang grub.
Yes, also remember AA: it took a group of otherwise "peasant" and very, how should we put this, "aggressive" Norskmen to show Pepe how to run that part of France.
What does peasang grub translate into? Is that like goat grub?
*addendum: "that part of France" denoting Normandy.
Goats and Pigs, MFT
I like bacon. When I was an even younger mft than I am now (we grow up so fast), I remember visiting my Aunt and Uncles art studio out in the Dakota countryside. They had goats, and therefore goat milk. I don't know if it was of better quality than JJ could acquire up in northern Italia though.
Well, cheese from goat's milk has some definitely fine varieties. However, for no good reason I can think of, the idea of drinking goats milk, even pasteurized unfermented goats milk, leaves me gasping for a litre of Tawny Port.
Yes, the cheese AA. The goats cheese. I recollect the goats milk being in the fridge, but I believe it was there awaiting the cheese process. I can't remember if I tasted it or not -- seems like a guy would remember something like that. Then again, perhaps my brain has selective memory in light of the disgusting taste.
