Kazakh Like Me

While JJ remains the Borat of NoDak, Christopher Hitchens offers some commentary that illuminates the polite America.

Hitchens: "...if a swarthy stranger had pulled any of the foregoing at a liberal dinner party in England, I wouldn't give much for his chances."

Americans, like NoDakers, are almost pedantic with their politeness. Meanwhile, Borat runs around Romanian villages lying through his teeth and exploiting the locals. Where are the Leftists to defend the working class in these cases? Oh, right: they are too busy running their mouths about the "underbelly" of America that Borat exposed.

Whatever.

I just read today that "Borat" got punched up while trying his schtick on a passerby in New York....Sasha, you made a clever enough movie, but pressing your luck in New York ain't clever

Story mentioned here. Some Wild West justice meted out in Manhattan, of all places!

“I guess this guy thought he was being attacked by someone unstable and lashed out. Sacha is very lucky he didn’t get a much worse beating.”

I think he'll be encountering these types of scenarios for a while to come.
