Is that Ulysses I see out there, returning home? He's gonna be pissed when he finds out what's been happening since he was gone.

It is beautiful. But don't worry , MFT, about Ulysses' rage. He and his doomed crew have no idea of the storm that is coming.

Beautiful, AI. How about soe Tuscan tomatos, though? Up in Siena they're most gorgeous. Worth a day trip for sure.

This was on the way back from the Grotta Gigante. It's a huge grotta, absolutely amazing with all those stalactites and stalagmites, and the sheer interior volume -- surely one of the biggest underground chambers in the world.

Never heard of it. I htought you were in Toscana now, though. A quick googling indicates the Gig Grot to be near Trieste. You in Pisa now?

I've been bouncing around -- now back to Northeast coast. It's a long train ride from Pisa, but still managed to do it in just above 6 hours, as I told JJ I will. Not too bad a ride -- had a fun talk with a kid from Tegucicalpa (half Polack, half Honduran) who was bouncing around Italy, and getting ready to travel to Bucharest, Prague, Zakopane, etc. People are more open around here, more willing to talk on long rides. Just my impression?

I noticed that too, at least in a few instances during the last time I travelled Italia. An Italian saw me trying to figure out a map of Milano during a train ride from Firenzé to Milan. Eventually he asked where I needed to go. I told him the airport. He said he'd point me in the right direction on the subway, paid for my fare, and everything. Nice fellow. A lot nicer than the crew on the actual train.
