That's All, Folks

Let's hope all the smart Iraqis escape to Houston like the smart Vietnamese and make us all a fortune and vote Republican.

I've heard that figure. I doubt it. What's your source and where do they say these Iraqis headed?

The source was a NYT or maybe a Post article a couple of weeks back. They didn't say where they were headed to but if the only other option was Houston, I think they'd probably choose to stay.

Right. They are all still there and the NYT was pulling a Johns Hopkins.

You think those that can afford to leave would opt to take a chance to stay in order to what ? get their eyes gouged out with power drills ?

I know that Iraqi Kurdistan is making a lot of money.

So if the 2 independents in the Senate caucus with the Dems and the other 98 Senators are half and half Dem/Repub, how do committee chairmanships get assigned? How do the rules of order work? As if it were a tie or as it were a Dem Senate? What about the leadership?

Guys, you know the answer to this?

Isn't Lieberman still officially a Democrat? Or did he lose that status by running on his own in the general? I do not remember his resigning from the party or anything...
I guess my answer is I don't know

I think Lieberman is still Dem. I liken him to being a sort of McCain to the DNC.

Yeah, Jeffers actually declared himself an Independent, after running and winning as a Republican. Lieberman ran independently, but always declared himself a Democrat.
In any case, tis the Day of the Donkey
