Brilliant. ...always nice to escape into the wonders of the universe when it seems that this third rock from the sun is continuously going all to hell. Of course, the universe is always going to hell, too. Just to modify my otherwise swooning statement (too much Ambrose Bierce on the shelf to think any other way)
I looked out here on the great Pacific, hoping that the lightless seas would open the vistas of the heavens......But this is Seattle, damnit. It was clouds and rain and good grey mists. Next year, Perseus, next year.
You commuting between Van Couver and Seattle pretty often these days? You still with that Scottish bag-pipe playing institution in B.C., right?
Bring me up to speed if you have time (or make a bit of time). E-mail it to my yahoo! account. Tell me what's going on these days. The Irish Dogg left me a message. Throughout the summer, he has tended to call when he's lounging on a certain patio in Hawaii, on the big island. He said he may try a trip out here to Dakota when he gets back to Minneapolis. We'll see.

A friend of mine suggested that I try and catch the shower about midnight tonight, central standard time. I'll report my findings.
Well I didn't see any shooting stars. But the stars that normally dot the night sky twinkled a little brighter since the moon was dimmed.
