Now, admit it, this Beloved by the Frenchies [Pepe's remonstrations pathetically to the contrary], does he not fit perfectly the description of the kind of bloke that the St. Andrews' study claimed to be shifty, parentally worthles, dominating, and not up to the Liberace standard women are said to consider "a keeper".

Pace Pepe, but yes, the French do have a fascination with their ersatz Elvis. Just check Paris Match, and the amount of ink it has devoted to Johnny over the past 3 or 4 decades.

Seems a common theme within the History of Man, trying to distance oneself from an increasingly socialist/intrusive government by taking refuge in the mountains. ...well, at least that theme in conjunction with the History of Hypocrisy.

Fascinating thematical topics...

Would you say that americans have a fascination with Kenny G, barry manilow & whitney houston ?

Who is Kenny G?

Kenny G is an uglier version of a Barry Manilow wannabe saxaphonist. Think of him as being the sort of dreck BillyBoy would have put on the music-com in order to put Monica on the proper bend of knee
