For this reason, and the steroids to boot, I've become increasingly less-interested in the American Pasttime altogether. I'll catch the end of a Twins game from time to time, and about every third week see how they are doing in the American League rankings. But it's not due to any sort of excitement or feeling that I cultivated in my more youthful years back in '87, and in '91 (the years the Twins took the World Series).
Now that players are juicing (and with this mechanical device), the grounds by which to judge a "good" player (someone who naturally cultivates their ability) is just too unstable. Don't they understand life is short and therefore important? I don't want to waste my time following a bunch of dopers.
